Recently, the ETEEAP is one of the headlines in the national televisions. ETEEAP or Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program offered by the Philippine government to those individuals presently working yet were unable to complete their college education.
This alternative education program is a big help for working professionals to continue their college education without giving their job. The good thing about this education program is that the individual need not undergo the traditional schooling methods. Instead, they can use the number of years working, the experiences, knowledge, and achievements to obtain school credits.
The earned credits will be deducted from the required total number of units they need to earn and corresponding to the course taken. That’s why if the applicant has shown more professional experiences, he or she can complete the bachelor’s degree at the soonest possible time.
What is the difference between traditional schooling and ETEEAP
The traditional college education is usually completed within four or five years, but may also depend on the curriculum offered by the school, the number of units required and the term.
The basic concept of ETEEAP is the same with traditional schooling, but the difference is that the professional experience of the applicant is evaluated to earn academic credits. With this, the professional may have the chance to finish their bachelor’s degree in a year two.
