To facilitate easy and efficient application of passport, the DFA has introduced the DFA ePayment Portal. This new feature of Online Appointment System allows passport applicants to pay the processing fee as early as setting an appointment or schedule.
The DFA ePayment Portal was first launched on June 2018 and will be available to those applying and renewing passports in DFA Aseana. It will be available in NCR on July 2018 and on August 2018 it will be offered nationwide. There are several payment centers where applicants can prepay the processing fee. They can use debit or credit cards or bank transactions.
Applicants who will apply or renew a Philippine ePassport should pay the processing fee in advance using the ePayment Portal. The payment process is very convenient, but older applicants may find it difficult.
Here’s a step-by-step guide that will help reduce the difficulties when using this online DFA epayment portal system.
- Schedule an appointment
The first thing to do is to visit www.passport.gov.ph to set an appointment. Look for the “SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT” link and click it. Hit the “START APPOINTMENT” button. After clicking the “Terms of Service” button, click the link “START INDIVIDUAL APPOINTMENT”. Select the DFA Consular Office that you preferred to apply or renew the passport along with the appointment time and date. Provide the information required and you can choose either regular or expedited processing. Click the “PROCEED TO PAYMENT” button and the reference number will be sent to your email address.
- Proceed to payment
The next step is paying the processing fee. Make sure to bring the reference number before going to the payment center of your choice. But, you can use the reference number to any payment centers authorized by DFA throughout the country. After paying the processing fee make sure to keep the receipt as you’ll need it during the appointment day.
- Gather all the requirements
If the payment process has been successful, an appointment packet will be sent to the email address you have provided. Click the link and print the list of requirements that you’ll bring during your appointment including the following:

- Confirmed application form with the eReceipt number, appointment reference number, and application form indicating the bar code
