Dengue fever, otherwise known as breakbone fever, can be acquired through mosquito bite. Five to seven days after being bitten, some of the symptoms include high fever, headaches, joint and muscle pain, skin rash, and nausea. In some cases, dengue can lead into hemorrhagic fever which can be life-threatening if not treated.

A report released by the World Health Organization said that dengue infections have rapidly grown the past few years with about 390 million people across the world being infected each year.
Infected individuals are encouraged to be admitted in a hospital so doctors can monitor their white blood cell and platelet count. This helps reduce the danger of dengue hemorrhagic fever.
If you or a loved one has acquired the disease, one thing you should know is that a treatment for it may be easily available.
Many experts say papaya leaf juice can be a great natural remedy for dengue. A doctor from Sri Lanka, for example, monitored 12 dengue patients with low platelet count. After being given 5ml dose papaya leaf extract at 8-hour intervals, most of the patients experienced significant improvement. All 12 of the patients no longer required hospitalization and 5 of them quickly recovered from itchy hemorrhagic skin rash in just 2 days.
So how does one prepare a papaya leaf juice? Here’s the procedure:
First off, get younger papaya leaves at the lower part of a growing papaya tree. Wash them and remove the fibrous stem.
Next, put the leaves in a juicer or crush and squeeze them. Use a filter cloth and pound the leaves to get the juice. You can also use a chopping board, crush the leaves with the bottom of a jar, and then squeeze out the juice manually using your fingers.
Get at least 2 tablespoon of leaf juice and take it at least two times a day or every 6 hours if possible. It is recommended that you take it on an empty stomach and you dilute it with a little amount of water. Take note that the taste can be really unpleasant.
Of course, it is best to work closely with a medical professional instead of merely relying on this natural treatment.
