Here’s a good news for Filipinos looking forward to getting employed abroad. If you feel working in Japan, this is your chance to work in the said country. Japan needs Filipino household workers which can get a high paying salary per month.
In a recent announcement, Japan has promised to offer more jobs for Filipinos and a top official said that the country will soon be accepting domestic helpers.
This is in connection with the bilateral agreement that took place between the two countries during the recently concluded Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit held in Pasay City last November 18-19.
Once they’re done finalizing the details, Japan will need more household service workers since they are aiming to have economic zones by the end of the year. They are anticipating that numerous Japanese families will be needing help.
In an interview with GMA Network, Yasuhisa Kawamura, spokesman of Japan Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, said that the move is already in the works and they are hoping that everything will be “smoothly implemented.”
As of present time, OFWs in Japan mostly work in medical and health-related jobs but when everything is set in its place, housekeepers will be highly in demand soon enough. Families will be needing helpers for performing menial tasks such as bed keeping, room cleaning, gardening, and others.
Household workers will not be living with their employers and will be receiving a salary of US $1,500 or almost Php 66,000 per month – the minimum pay equivalent even for Japanese workers – along with additional benefits. This handsome wage rate will surely attract a lot of applicants.
To make the cut, interested individuals should undergo training with TESDA for 6 months and learn the Nihongo language. NC 2 and language certificates are required for those who want to be employed in these positions.
Although Japan has not mentioned the number of household workers they will need, the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) have said that they will make an announcement about it as soon as the details are finalized.
