Have you ever forgotten an important PIN number? This is not an uncommon experience. Besides, numbers are often harder to memorize than words because of their complex nature. Things can even be harder if you have many account passwords and PIN numbers from your other accounts.
When it comes to your BDO Debit Card, however, you really have to make an effort to remember it or your card eventually becomes useless.
In case you find yourself in this awful situation, here’s what you should do:
First, try another 6-digit PIN number.
If your first attempt didn’t work, remember that you are allowed at least 3 tries per day. So try your luck again and input a different pin at the ATM machine. Try to remember if your PIN number forms a visual pattern on the keyboard or if you are using the same number with another account. Or maybe it contains numbers that are significant to you such as your birthdate or your wedding anniversary.
Second, return the next day.
Again, you only have 3 maximum tries each day so in case you’ve entered 3 wrong PIN numbers, you can just come back the next day to try again.
Third, if contact BDO if your card gets blocked.
Now in case, your card gets blocked, you need to immediately inform BDO about it.

What If You’ve Really Forgotten and Can’t Remember The PIN Number?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to retrieve forgotten ATM passwords due to security measures. Your only solution would be to request a replacement card.
How Do You Avoid Forgetting Your PIN Number?
To prevent the same problem in the future, create a code with a visual pattern on the keyboard since they are much easier to remember.
Also, it is not a good idea to write your pin code on a piece of paper and keep it in your wallet. If you do write it, make sure to keep it in a safe place.
For added security, you may want to change your pin code regularly.
